The best part of the Student Centre are the private study rooms. Staying the night at the centre in one of the rooms is probably the greatest thing a UCL student can do while studying. Suffering and celebrating your academic life with your friends in a comfortable and functional private space will definitely help you get through your studies.

London Series-UCL Days: Regent’s Canal
Regent’s Canal might not seem to be the most glamorous place to hang out. This stream of water is quite literally a canal running along through a section of London without many interesting sights along the way there is one place that you should probably take note of.
First, is Coal Drops Yard. This area is a leisure are extending to a section housing an apartment complex. On the edge of the apartment complex, right next to the canal, are seats that overlook a small boat docking area that joggers and other passerbys frequently travel past. This area is a great place to be alone or bring some friends with to enjoy the beautiful views of a Regent’s Canal sunset.

London Series-UCL Days: Saint Pancras Square
Saint Pancras Square is home to a variety of restaurants and a mini commerce centre near King’s Cross Station. These parts of the square make it an interesting place to visit but the true essence of hanging out here is much deeper than that.
This area provides seats for anyone looking to hang out with friends without spending money. These seats are placed strategically between the gaps between the buildings there allowing sunlight to pour in when the sun is located away from the UCL area. When the sun is located above UCL, the buildings make way for a shower of sunlight for anyone within the area to enjoy. Furthermore, visiting any of the restaurants is a wise choice for brunch or dinner as the area itself is quite busy and finding a seat for lunch could prove to be a difficult task.

UCL Days: The Main Quad, Life as a Royal
UCL’s main quad is probably the most iconic area in the whole campus. Its pillar-supported dome shaped roof is the first image to associate itself with the uni in anyone’s mind. This structure is not only a place of symbolic pride but a useful place to unwind and catch up with your friends.
The best thing to do in this area is to hang out on the steps of the main quad. Eating, chatting or even getting work done are all acceptable courses of actions to take when in this area. This is an even better experience during prolonged periods of bright and warm sunshine. Being shone upon by the rare London sun with the cool breeze of the city keeping the temperature at a mild state of comfortable stasis sets the perfect stage for one to enjoy their free time in one of the most iconic academic institutions in the world.
