PPI London X Access Education: Mission, Solidarity

PPI London strive to build a sense of community amongst Indonesian’s in London. This organisation acts as a medium for Indonesian’s to support each other through their time in London. Today we will be hearing why and how PPI London forges these bonds tying the Indonesian community in London ever closer.

This account of PPI London as an organisation is provided by Giovanni Adhiputra Azis, second year MSc Entrepreneurship and Innovation student at Royal Holloway University of London and the President of PPI London 2020/2021.

As mentioned previously, solidarity has helped me through my studies in Sydney, and I want to increase the level of solidarity of Indonesian students in London, to help each other more.

There are several plans that I have made to achieve this mission, one of which is by creating a platform for the RUDAL (Ruang Diskusi Anak London), where students will be able to discuss, ask for help, or get information from other students which will increase their level of solidarity.

It is my hope that during this term of office, I can create a sense of belongness for students towards PPI London, which in turn will increase the level of solidarity among students.

I believe that in this world we were created to be useful to each other, even we humans need our parents to be born in this world. The message I want to convey to Indonesian students is to increase the solidarity between students because actually this solidarity will make your journey easier and more enjoyable.

PPI London X Access Education: Mission, Health

Being healthy is one of the main considerations a student should have when studying abroad. Temperature changes, fatigue and a great fitness level in general are all essential to making the best out of uni life in London. Today we will be hearing how PPI London is attentive towards this aspect of their members’ lives and actively ensures that the Indonesian community in London can stay fit during their time there.

This account of PPI London is provided by Giovanni Adhiputra Azis, a masters student at Royal Holloway University of London and the President of PPI London 2020/2021.

It is very important to maintain health When studying abroad, where students will be far from their families and students must be able to care for their health independently. In response to this, PPI London provides opportunities for the Indonesian community in London to exercise while creating connections with their fellow Indonesians.

PPI London holds weekly sports for Indonesian students in London as motivation and a place for them to exercise regularly. This is a great chance for any Indonesians who are looking to have a good time enjoying sports and the company of others. We highly encourage anyone interested to join and don’t forget to bring your friends as well!

I hope that students will really take advantage of the forum that has been created by PPI London to improve their physical and spiritual health.

PPI London X Access Education: Mission, Networking

Being a medium for networking is one of PPI London’s main missions to serve the Indonesian community in London. It is able to connect Indonesian students from all across London and create a home abroad for those in need of company. Today we will be hearing the inspiration and aspirations behind this philosophy straight from man himself.

This account of PPI London as an organisation is provided by Giovanni Adhiputra Azis, second year MSc Entrepreneurship and Innovation student at Royal Holloway University of London and the President of PPI London 2020/2021.

When I was studying in Sydney, Australia I had difficulty getting an internship at that time. But thanks to the existence of my friends, they managed to recommend me to a company for my intern. The story above gives the meaning that the development of networking among students is very important, which will be useful in the future.

These networking goals will be achieved by holding events that are communicative among fellow students, such as Soda Gembira, Piala Indonesia, and Makrab. Also, participation in events outside of London are great opportunities to further those connections.

I hope that the students will really take advantage of the platform that PPI London has created to improve their network.

Take advantage of your youth for networking with fellow students, because these connections will make it easier for students in the future.

PPI London X Access Education: Vision

PPI London is an organisation has a proper vision it strives to achieve during this term of leadership. Its goals and aspirations for the Indonesian community in London are clearly benevolent and offer great assistance for them. We will be hearing from the President himself on why this vision was chosen and how it will benefit the Indonesian community in London.

This account of PPI London as an organisation is provided by Giovanni Adhiputra Azis, second year MSc Entrepreneurship and Innovation student at Royal Holloway University of London and the President of PPI London 2020/2021.

The vision I instilled for PPI London was based on my experience when I was taking a bachelor’s degree in Sydney, Australia. At that time, solidarity between fellow students was what helped me to continue to develop and succeed in both academic and non-academic fields. Maintaining good spiritual and physical health is also my vision where I feel that with a healthy mind and healthy body the students will create positive energy which will facilitate their studies and networking.

There are several plans that I have to achieve this vision, one of which is by creating the RUDAL platform (Ruang Diskusi Anak London), where students will be able to discuss, ask for help, or get information from other students which will increase their level of solidarity. In addition, holding weekly sports for students is a way to motivate students to keep exercising.

My hope that during my tenure as president of PPI London is that Indonesian students in London will contribute more in helping each other and participate in the events that PPI London organises.

I believe that in this world we were created to be useful to each other. The message I want to convey to Indonesian students is to increase the solidarity between students because actually this solidarity will make your journey easier and more enjoyable. Also, don’t forget to exercise because behind a healthy body there is a strong soul.
